When we design a new Lyric season, our aim is to enthrall
you, envelop you, excite you, and invite you to experience the
unique artistry of our art form from your very own seat in the
opera house.
The 2015/16 season oers the opportunity to be swept
away by nine sensational productions, all of which are new to
Chicago. Three of these productions are original new Lyric
productions, including our eagerly anticipated world-premiere
commission,
Bel Canto.
We all want to see big stars and you’ll hear them here, as
Renée Fleming, Amanda Majeski, Isabel Leonard, Alessandro
Corbelli, Thomas Hampson, Elizabeth Futral, Danielle de
Niese, Zˇ eljko Lucˇic´, Tatiana Serjan, Sophie Koch, Alice Coote,
Luca Pisaroni, Joseph Calleja, Susanna Phillips, Eric Cutler,
and more take the Lyric stage during the 2015/16 season.
We also long for the chance to be in the audience
to witness major debuts, and you can expect outstanding
premiere Lyric performances from an international roster
