MYTHICAL AND SUPERIOR ARE TWO WORDS

THAT DESCRIBE BOTH THE DONOR’S CELLAR

AND THE VINTAGE ITSELF.

I

s 1961 the greatest vintage of the 20th century? Some say it

is. There’s composure and elegance throughout these wines,

and even at this point in time—54 years old!—they show their

deep berry fruit with layers of earth, mushroom and roses. In

particular,

the 100-point Château Latour

offers a regal perfume

of tobacco leaf, cassis, iron, cedar, spice, truffle and forest floor

notes. Powerful, full bodied, intense and deep, this concentrated

wine takes over the palate with multiple layers of rich, ripe, spicy

black fruits that fill the mouth and coat the palate. Latour 1961

personifies the term “iron fist in a velvet glove.” This is elegance

meshed with power.

Note: Margaux bottle is top shoulder level. All others are very high shoulder

level. Mouton Rothschild has a torn label and cap.

This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire all four of the

First Growths in Pauillac, with perfect provenance.
