1982 MEANT FOR YOU.

W

ant to be taken seriously as a wine collector?

Well, you

best not miss this opportunity to acquire this astounding

horizontal. Some have been lucky enough to try

one

of these in a

lifetime, but having the full five in your collection? Well, shut the

cellar door!

1982 was the first true vintage of the modern age, ushering in a

new style of Bordeaux wine, in no small part influenced by the

masterful cabernet production in Napa Valley in the late 60s and

70s. The charmed year opened with a gentle winter moved into

a stormy summer then finished with a dry, hot autumn.

Three

of these beauties—the Lafite Rothschild, the Latour and the

Mouton Rothschild—have all earned the illustrious “100” from

Robert Parker while the Haut-Brion and the Margaux were just

1 point away from perfect.

Wow.

Note: Latour is base neck level. Lafite Rothschild has a damp stained label.

Mouton Rothschild is base neck level with a scuffed label.
