Generously contributed by

H.R.H. Prince Robert of Luxembourg

on behalf of Domaine Clarence Dillon

ESTIMATED VALUE $4,000

ONLY ROYALTY COULD OFFER THIS LOT DEEP

IN WINE RICHES.

W

e all remember fondly when Prince Robert and Princess

Julie of Luxembourg were Honored Guests of Wine

Auction 2006. This collection of five magnums is mightily

impressive, coming straight from Domaine Clarence Dillon,

and hand selected by Prince Robert.

Robert Parker said in May 2014: “The unbelievably superb

2011

Haut-Brion

exhibits a classic nose of subtle smoldering embers,

warm rocks, black currants, new saddle leather, spice box and high

quality, unsmoked cigar tobacco. The color is a dense ruby/purple

to the edge, and the wine cuts a serious as well as broad swath

across the palate. The most amazing aspect of this

terroir

is that

the wine, despite all its power and richness, literally dances on the

palate, as if it were a 90 pound ballerina. This brilliant 2011 should

evolve quickly, hitting its prime in 7-8 years, and drink beautifully

for 20-25 years.” Parker was a fan of

La Mission Haut-Brion 2011

,

too: “Deep ruby in color, the wine offers tobacco, earth, smoke,

cassis and coffee with ripe tannins and a classic, bright, fresh and

pure crème de cassis finish. This is classic Pessac Leognan.”

La

Clarté de Haut-Brion Blanc

is a rare and exceptional white wine

and in magnum, never seen.

Domaine Clarence Dillon purchased another estate and

christened it Château Quintus. This wine is taking its natural place

within the Domaine Clarence Dillon family, as an equal alongside

the red and white wines of Châteaux Haut-Brion and La Mission

Haut-Brion, thereby becoming the fifth child in this illustrious

family. This lot contains one magnum each of

Ch. Quintus 2011

and

Le Dragon de Quintus 2011

. Both garnered much acclaim,

and this was the first vintage that was under the full control of

Jean-Phillipe Delmas, the iconic winemaker known for his work

at Haut-Brion and La Mission.

You will cherish the fact that you

own these five magnums.
