“UTTERLY DELICIOUS, TASTY AND SUBTLY
DISCREET.”—JEAN-MARC QUARIN, WINE CRITIC
T
his highly-sought 2003 possesses extremely high tannin, but
it happens to be well-concealed by a cascade of mulberry,
blackberry, cherry, and plum-like fruit. A delicious hint of figs also
shows up under a broad spectrum of blue and red fruit. While this
vintage is ripe with a sweet, glycerol mouthfeel, it also possesses a
long, powerful, persistent finish. Elegant and noble, it’s a wine of
both power and finesse that is nearing peak maturity.
