es, this is the only case of Port in the Live Auction.
And, at
the time of writing, this is the only original wooden case of
1963 available in the entire United States.
Taylor holds a prime position, often described it as the Latour
of port, implying strength of character, sturdiness and the great
capacity for long life. Of all the vintage ports, these need the
longest time to mature and even when fully mature seem to have
an inner strength and firmness that keep them going for decades.
The
1963 Taylor
is quite fabulous yet still seemingly capable of
developing for another decade or more.
Our lovely donors held this case from its release until now.
