THE BARON IS CALLING YOUR NAME!
In Bordeaux, the summer of 2000 was essentially perfect. In
2003, when this wine was first released, critics were falling all
over themselves talking about this first vintage of the 21st century.
Some of those millennium memories have faded, but this wine
has most definitely not. Robert Parker says this is a candidate for
one of the “wines of the vintage, and most definitely one of the
finest wines made at the estate.” 2000 Château Pichon Baron
possesses an opaque black/ruby/purple color with absolutely
alluring, almost sexy, flamboyant aromatics of black fruits, toast
and cedar. It’s a full-bodied gem, exquisite on the palate, with
many layers of flavors.
