Hundred Acre

wines are made

by sorting the fruit berry by berry, fermented in small French oak

fermenters, and long aging in the finest barriques. The vineyard

is located at the base of Howell Mountain in the stunning St.

Helena, land that is composed of volcanic soil strata that benefits

from a 180 degree arc of the sun. The 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Kayli Morgan 2009

is a great showing. This wine is generous and

textured with layers of dark red fruit, espresso, new leather and

spices. High-toner floral notes and the silkiest of tannins frame the

striking finish. The

ARK 2009

is a huge win: dense and rich but

dry, with highly concentrated, complex flavors of plum, chocolate,

tobacco and woodsmoke. An intense deep wine with dark red

fruit, flowers, mint, licorice and exotic spices are some of the many

notes that flow from this fabulously textured Cabarnet Sauvignon.

The nose of

2001 Grace Family Vineyard

is explosive, big,

spicy, black currant. It has great balance and very good medium

weighted mouthfeel. Sweet intense flavors of black currants and

dark plums make this a substantial wine, delicious and also with

remarkable structure.

the 100-point perfect scoring 2007

Scarecrow

, with huge aromas of ripe currant, plum and

blackberry, with a dash of mocha-laced oak. This massive-bodied

dark beauty gives off lovely floral scents, has the most elegant

structure then finishes firmly with length. Its perfect balance

suggests it can be drunk at a relatively young age, but it should

easily evolve over 30-35 years.

Massive and intense, sublime and delicious. And definitely

worthy of obsession.
